Use the Clip Farm MCP to find campaigns, choose clipping options, review processing costs, and follow jobs from your AI client. Supporting visuals and added captions are separate choices. Preview the finished files and check campaign requirements before posting.

Get your API key

In the Clip Farm app: Settings → API keys → Create key. It starts with cfk_ — copy it once, store it somewhere safe.

Connect your AI

Add https://app.clip-farm.com/mcp to a client supporting Streamable HTTP. Claude supports the sign-in flow; other clients can use an API key in the Authorization header. Embedded panels require MCP Apps support.

Ask for clips

Paste a supported ended VOD, choose captions and supporting visuals, and review the quote before creating a job. Follow its status, then preview and download the delivered files. A valid link or metadata response alone does not mean the source can be downloaded.

Claude picks the right tool from your message — you never call these by hand. These are the core clipping operations; use get_website_features for campaign, search, library, publishing, settings and file-tool discovery.

Confirms who your API key belongs to. A cheap first check that the connection works.

get_balance

Processing-credit seconds left on your account. Claude checks this before spending anything.

get_plan

Your plan tier and caps: max VOD length, max source resolution.

inspect_vod

Free preview of a VOD — duration, game, platform — before any credits move.

quote_clip_job

Validate the exact source, optional time range, captions and supporting visuals; return the credit cost without creating a job.

create_clip_job

Submit the quoted settings with approved_cost_sec and a stable request_key. Retry an uncertain response with the same key and exact settings.

list_jobs

Your recent jobs with status and progress.

Good to know

Jobs use processing credits

Use the actual quote. Ordinary VOD jobs round the selected source duration up to 30-minute blocks, with a 30-minute minimum; owner jobs can cost zero. Campaign and other tools may have different costs. Read the job cost and ledger instead of estimating from the source length.

Rate limit: 6 jobs per hour

Per account, across the app and the MCP combined. Plenty for chat-paced work.

YouTube and Kick need a duration hint

Inspection can need a duration hint for YouTube or Kick. Supply the actual duration, not a guess. Metadata and a quote do not prove download availability: YouTube is currently affected by a production download restriction. Repeating the same blocked job will not resolve it.

Captions and supporting visuals are independent

Turn either option on or off. Supporting visuals use compatible automatic portrait clips; manual-only marked Twitch clips and landscape output are separate options. Turning captions off does not remove text already present in the source. Campaign-required branding and rules still apply.

Campaigns: clip here, submit on Content Rewards

Search the campaign board, check source eligibility and current requirements, then quote and create campaign content. The board refreshes every three hours; review its freshness time. Downloading is not submission. Post to an eligible account and submit the public post link on the campaign page. Content Rewards controls approval and payment.

Cancellation and refunds

The cancellation response reports whether a refund was issued. Under the current VOD policy, canceling before 50% progress refunds the charged amount; at or after that point there is no cancellation refund. Check the credit ledger for the actual result. Completed jobs cannot be canceled.

Download links expire in 15 minutes

By design — ask for fresh ones whenever, they're free to re-sign.

Live watch is Twitch IRL only

The channel has to be live and in an IRL category, and your plan caps how many sessions run at once.
